In Xbox One kar naenkrat več ne potrebuje priključenega Kinecta za delovanje:

For a long time Microsoft insisted that its creepy HAL-like motion sensing camera Kinect would have to be on for the Xbox One to function, but in Microsoft's rapid plea to make players happy it's now announced that you'll be able to play Xbox One not only with the sensor off, but not even plugged in.

Xbox One chief product officer Marc Whitten revealed this new option in an interview with IGN. "Like online, the console will still function if Kinect isn't plugged in, although you won't be able to use any feature or experience that explicitly uses the sensor," he said.

"The thing we all understood, and hence this change, is that there are some scenarios where people just may not be comfortable. We wanted people to be 100 per cent comfortable, so we allow the sensor to be unplugged."

MS bo trenutnim imetnikom Xbox 360 omogočil mehak prehod season pass-ov na nov Xbox One. Program se imenuje Season Pass Guarantee:

With Season Pass Guarantee, you can purchase a Season Pass for a participating Xbox 360 title and automatically receive access to download the equivalent Xbox One Season Pass.* It’s simple.

Microsoft has apparently built Xbox One to know when it's overheating and be able to do a couple of things about it.

One thing is to rev the fan up to maximum speed - a speed it should never need "under normal environmental conditions", Leo del Castillo, Xbox general manager of console development, told Gizmodo.

Should those conditions become extraordinary for some reason - perhaps something is obstructing the Xbox One heat vents - then "there is overhead" for the fan to rev up. "We'll allow the fan to go all the way up to its maximum speed and that [should] solve the condition without the user having to do anything," del Castillo said.

If that doesn't work then Xbox One can go a step further and dial back the source of the heat - perhaps the CPU or GPU sweating its bits off.

"One thing that we have more flexibility with, with the architecture of the Xbox One, is that we can dial back the power of the box considerably," del Castillo noted.

"Xbox One can actually dial it back to a lower power state, so low in fact that it can [run] in a mode that uses virtually no air flow."

In, koliko vas misli konzolo importat iz US oz. iz Evrope?

Jaz osebno sem za XboxOne že od naznanitve. Nekako sem čutil, da bodo tiste blesave stvari in policy-je, ki so jih imeli, ukinili. Ni šlo več tako naprej, Sony jih je prekašal na vseh frontah. Sedaj pa so se stvari malce postavile na glavo, Xbox po mojem mnenju zopet dobiva prednost in čedaljo večjo željo imam po pre-orderu nekje iz tujine. Amazon.com, naprimer, zelo poceni varjanta. Ali pa v Evropi, ker dobiš FIFO zraven, to mi je bolj kot ne prevesilo tehtnico, da naročim.. Po tem ko sem videl kako dobro zgleda. Vglavnem, zanima me kakšne načrte s to konzolo imate vi.. Boste prednaročili ali čakali na uraden izid do naslednjega leta? Vem pa, da XBOX LIVE funkcionalnost ne bo 100%, ker Slovenija ni podprta XboxOne država.

Moj nacrt z Xbox one je, da upam, da povsem propade na japonskem in da karkoli pametnega izide v aziji, naredijo le za PS4. Ko bom pa hotel spet Halo, bom pac se boxa nabavil. Fragmentacija ze tako male slovenske scene pri pretepacinah na dve konzoli je ubila zadnje upanje, da bi lahko folk vsaj na drzavni ravni kolikor toliko pogosto kolokortoliko kvalitetno igral med seboj in napredoval.

Edino, kar bo to zahtevalo je, da apriori hejtam Killer Instinct. Bo tezko, ker sem bil najvecji fan nekoc. Ampak roko na srce, se mi zdaj kot zdaj itak zdi nek effect-filled, combo-ridden zmazek brez globine, tako da bo slo. Pa naj me prijetno preseneti, ce zmore, hehe.

A glede Livea je bilo potem uradno potrjeno, da v nepodprtih državah ne boš pač mogel fejkati Live računa iz neke druge države, kot se je to počelo do sedaj? Ali samo "might not work" s Twitterja po E3ju?

Pri nas se vprašanje če se bo kdaj URADNO prodajal. Kar majo dealerji in Muller, je pač uvoz. Bo pa zanimivo vidt, kako bo z dostopnostjo, glede na to da nismo uradno podprt trg in tudi vprašanje, če kdaj bomo. Naj se MS zgleduje po Sonyju, kjer laufa slovenski PSN Store, pa še z PSN+ ni nobenih težav.

Xbox360 igre ne boš mogel igrati na Xbox One. Nekatere igre bodo sicer izšle na obeh sistemih, ampak če boš igro hotel igrati na obeh sistemih, boš moral kupiti 2.
