Od včeraj 8.2. dalje je na voljo nov popravek sistemske programske opreme za PS3, sistem vam nadgradi na verzijo 4.10. Nadgradnjo lahko izvedete direktno preko konzole ali na interenteni strani s posodobitvami potegnete posodobitev na USB ključek.

Bistvene lastnosti posodobitve na verzijo 4.10 so:

Nastavitev za avtomatsko posodabljanje datuma in ure.

Izbira [Set Automatically] je dodana med opcijami v menuju[Settings] > [Date and Time Settings].

Posodobljen je Internetni brskljalnik

Preimenovali so [PlayStation®Network account] v [Sony Entertainment Network account]. Vaš ID in geslo za prijavo v PlayStation Network sta ostala nespremenjena.

Uporabno je že, ni pa udobno, če moraš prestavljati kable, ko želiš kaj posnet , ampak zakaj bi ti rabil zajem videa v full HD mi pa ni jasno, za na tubo je 720p že več kot dovolj, za HDMi smo pa tudi že našli eno zadevo samo pač rabiš več €€€.

Danes čez dan bo objavljen novi popravek sistemske programske opreme (v4.11) za PlayStation 3. Vseboval bo nekaj izboljšav, ki pa niso obvezne za uporabo konzole in se namesti po želji preko System Update ukaza v meniju Settings. Popravek je opcijski!

PlayStation Network Scheduled Maintenance

Countries: AE, AU, GB, IE, NZ

PlayStation Network is offline for scheduled maintenance from 16:00 (BST) Thursday 24th May until – 08:00 (BST) on Friday 25th May.

During the maintenance, you will be unable to access the following services:

PlayStation Store on PS3, PSP and PS Vita.

PlayStation Network Account Management.

PlayStation Network Account Registration.

In addition, you will not be able to sign in to PlayStation Network from eu.playstation.com. If you wish to play online during the maintenance, then you may be able to do so if you sign in to PSN before 16:00 (BST) on Thursday 24th May.

During this maintenance, you can continue to collect in-game trophies and these will be updated on your profile once PlayStation Network is back up and running.

Mene pa zanima ena stvar. Doma imam jailbrakan ps3, katerega sem po pomoti nadgradil na verzijo 3.60, od takrat naprej ne igram več piratskih iger. Zato sem se odločil da bom od sedaj naprej kupoval originalne igrce. Kaj moram narediti da ne dobim bana ko se bom povezal na PS network? Ali je sploh kakšna možnost ?

PS3 System Software Update (v4.20)

Tomorrow we will be releasing a new system software update (v4.20) for PlayStation 3 which will include a few minor updates in order to strengthen functionality and improve your overall experience.

System software update (v4.10) added a feature that enabled you to hear your own voice through the Wireless Stereo Headset when playing multiplayer modes. This type of audio feedback is known as “sidetone.” Based on your comments, system software update (v4.20) will improve sidetone audio performance by giving you the option to select one out of five levels for microphone audio, or turn the feature off completely. For those of you who use the Wireless Stereo Headset to watch Blu-ray or DVD movies on your PS3, this system software update will also enable virtual surround sound functionality, giving you a superior audio experience.

This update will also allow you to set the amount of time that the system will wait before turning itself off automatically for [Video/TV/Music/Photo] and for [Game/Other Features].

Additionally, saved data management has been improved. You will now be able to select multiple saved data items and delete or copy them as a group.

Nova verzija črne zvezde se postavi na ogled, dobili bomo tri variante glede na velikost diskov: A" za 16GB, "B" za 250GB and "C" za 500GB. Vsi modeli bodo imeli BlueTooth, WiFi, Ethernet port, HDMI in RGB...

16GB verzija zagotovo ne bi smela presegati 200€... je pa lepo videt, da še vedno en bo zunanjega napajalnike, edino malo me skrbi, da se bodo BR-ji vstavljali od zgoraj... upam, da se motim.

Update: The glorious press release has arrived. The super duper slim PS3 will launch in the UK on 28th September and 12th October.

The 28th September launch refers to a 500GB model. The 12th October launch refers to a 12GB flash memory model.

Sony will release a dedicated 250GB HDD at the same time as the new PS3 (it's not clear which one). A vertical stand will also be available, which presumably means that by default, the new PS3 can't stand up.

Original story: Sony announced a new PS3 model in Tokyo this morning.

It doesn't have a name, but it's the super-duper slim model we've been expecting.

It's half as heavy as the original fatty pants PS3, and 25 per cent smaller and 20 per cent lighter than the current model. And, wowee, it has a sliding disk cover.

It's also apparently "more stylish", and looks like the designs we've seen leak already. There's a big fat picture of the small thin machine above.

There are two colours, black and white. The black model arrives in Japan on 4th October in 250GB and 500GB sizes. The white model arrives 22nd November with 250GB storage.

The 500GB model costs 29,980 yen; the 250GB model 24,980 yen.
