IGN-jevi viri poročajo, da naj bi naslednik uspešne konzole vseboval AMD-jev GPU iz serije 6000 in da naj bi presegel zmogljivost Nintendovega Wii U-ja za 20%. V primerjavi s predhodnim X-om naj bi bil predstavnik naslednje generacije konzol za 6x hitrejši. Microsoft se trudi skriti podatke in specifikacije do prihajajočega sejma E3. Razvijalska orodja naj bi bila na voljo letos avgusta. Zaenkrat še ni nobenih govoric ali podatkov o vgrajenem Kinectu 2, vendar pa bo brez dvoma pomemben del prihajajoče konzole.
