* 51 Pokémon have been added to the Sinnoh Dex to have a total of 210 entries.

* Giratina gained the Origin Form as of Platinum. While outside of Distortion World, it will continue to have the Altered Form [Form of Pokémon D/P]. A Platinum Orb is required for Giratina to change forms while outside of Distortion World.

* Giratina’s Origin Form replaces it’s old ability [Pressure] with Levitate and it’s defensive [special Defense and Defense] and offensive [special Attack and Attack] base stats are switched.

* Shaymin gained the Sky Form as of Platinum and receives a reindeer-like appearance. A Gracidea Flower is needed for it to change forms, this item has no effect during nighttime and when Shaymin is in frozen status.

* Shaymin in Sky Form has reduced defensive base stats and increased HP, Attack, Special Attack, and Speed base stats.

* Rotom receives five new forms based on electrical appliances.

-Frost Form is the outcome of the Refrigerator appliance and Rotom learns Blizzard.

-Spin Form is the outcome of the Fan appliance and learns Air Slash.

-Wash From is the outcome of the Washing Machine appliance and learns Hydro Pump.

-Cut Form is the outcome of the Lawnmower appliance and learns Leaf Storm.

-Heat Form is the outcome of the Oven appliance and learns Overheat.

* After getting the National Dex and talking to Professor Oak in Eterna City, the Three Legendary Birds [Articuno, Zapdos, and Moltres] can be found roaming the Sinnoh region found at level 60.

* Cynthia gives the player a Togepi egg after defeating the Galactic Building in Eterna City.

* The Three Legendary Golems [Regirock, Regice, and Registeel] are catchable if you obtained Toys R Us Even Regigigas. Each Regi can be found on Route 228, Mt. Coronet and Iron Island.

* Bebe [The owner of Box PC System in Pokémon Diamond/Pearl/Platinum] now gives the player an Eevee at level 20 while arriving at Hearthome City.

* Distortion World has been added and is known as the home of Giratina’s Origin Form and the final battle between the player and Cyrus. Shows a 3-Dimensional world where gravity has no effect. It can be accessed from Turnback Cave and Mt. Coronet.

* Once the player reaches the Resort Area, you will be able to own a house there. The player is able to put various of items into the house. Many items are extremely expensive and in game characters will come and visit depending on items in your house.

* The Survival Area now has a new building that has different trainers daily. Includes 8 Gym Leaders, 5 double battlers and have high leveled Pokémon that can be battled everyday.

* A new Battle Frontier has been added, similar to the one in Pokémon Emerald. It includes 5 battle facilities to test your battling skills.

* A WiFi Area has been added called the WiFi Plaza and can be found at the bottom floor in the PokéCenter. The player is able to interact with up to 20 random players, you cannot battle, but you’re able to play three mini-games such as:

-In Swalot Plop, the player uses the touch screen to flicks berries into a rotating Swalot’s mouth. The speed and trajectory the player flicks on the berry affects where the berry lands. Player with most points wins.

-In Rapid Wobbuffet, the player pumps a Wobbuffet balloon by pushing up and down on the touch screen. Beware, there are different things that affect the balloon. First to pump the balloon wins.

- In Merry Mime Jr., the player uses the touch screen to keep Mime Jr. on it’s ball as long as possible. Mime Jr. turns different directions, the player needs to spin the other way. Last player to let Mime Jr. fall off it’s ball wins.

* The player can get “Touch Toys” while in the WiFi Plaza, these toys appear on the touch screen and make noises or effects depending on the toy. They are upgradeable by getting playing and getting high scores in mini games. You can also switch toys with other people.

* There are different servers with different decorations based on Pokémon types. Generally everything inside are the same, just the looks are different.

* Each player has a new, distinct Trainer Card in the WiFi Plaza. Includes player’s name, ID number, the player’s touch toy and a greeting. Also includes the last 12 things the player has done in the plaza. You can walk up to other players and check their cards, as well.

* Unfortunately, as all good things come to an end, there is a time limit on how long you may stay in the WiFi Plaza each day. Fireworks go off, lights dim and various other things happen as your stay ends. You are evacuated out by a Pokémon designed boat. This is to prevent players from manipulating high scores.

* You are now able to record and save battles on WiFi and the Battle Frontier via the key item, Vs. Recorder. These videos are upload-able on the Global Trading Center [GTS], letting other players view and download them. With that, the player is also able to trade pictures

* Online functions of the Vs. Recorder, also called “Global Mode”, is spread over 5 different terminals in the GTS.

-The Blue Room has two terminals. The above terminal shows saved matches from VS Matches and Battle Frontier. The terminal below has the week’s top and bottom rankings. Battle rankings, trainer type rankings, etcetera.

-The Green Room has two terminals. The above terminal shows PC Boxes with a gallery of Pokémon in them, the player can choose a box and look through the Pokémon inside them. The bottom terminal shows Super Contest Pokémon appeals that other players have made. You can search through alphabetically, Pokémon, and others.

-The Pink Room has but one terminal. This terminal shows the option of uploading your own battle from the Browse Mode of your Vs. Recorder. You can also search battles from various options. You have the option of steaming a battle or to download it to your Vs. Recorder.

* The GTS now offers an e-mail system that sends messages to your own, personal e-mail or Wii whenever you have a successful trade.

* Pokémon back sprites are animated now.

* Move tutors have been added. They can be found at Route 212, Snowpoint City and the Survival Area, the tutors can teach a number of attacks for an different amounts of Shards.

* Random trainers appear in several Pokémon Centers all over Sinnoh. The trainers are able to be re-battled daily and generally increase in levels as the player goes through the game.

* Important trainers like Gym Leaders, Double Battlers and Galactic Leaders have animated sprites now.

* New story characters have been added to the game.

-Pluto is a new Galactic Admin. He has the known for the background story of the Rotom forms. The player does not battle him, but he is often mentioned.

-Looker is an investigator known for tracking down Team Galactic to end their evil plans.

* Sinnoh has been introduced to a much colder climate in many places.

* Pokémon such as Rotom and Giratina are now available before battling the Elite Four.

* In game Regigigas [Not Event] is found at level 1, being the lowest leveled, non-glitch legendary in Pokémon.

* Magikarp is able to be caught at Levels 1 to 100.

* Both Dialga AND Palkia are able to be caught at Level 70.

* Manaphy able to be “seen” for the Sinnoh Dex on a picture in the Trophy Garden

* Foreign Pokédex entries have been added depending on their origin. Such as Japanese, German, French, Spanish and Italian.

* Gym Leaders use different Pokémon from Pokémon Diamond and Pokémon Pearl.

* All areas have been tweaked in some kind of way from major to small. Such as snow patches in cities and tidying up of buildings to Stark Mountain’s lava flow and Battle Area’s more tropical look.

* Amity Square is separated into different places, now allows all evolutions of each region’s starter Pokémon.

* Eterna, Hearthome, and Veilstone Cities’ Gyms have much a much different layout.

-Eterna City’s Gym now has two giant flower petal acting as rotators to transfer the player to different parts of the Gym. The blades move by battling trainers.

-Heathome City’s Gym has been changed with a dark maze. Only lights that appear are eyes of Duskull and your flashlight’s beam.

-Veilstone City’s Gym now has boxing type rings to move punching bags to get though obstacles.

* Veilstone and Eterna Cities’ Galactic buildings have different setups and decorations.

* More realistic lights in caves and forests have been added.

* More trainers use Pokéball Seals for their Pokémon now.

* Celestic Town’s houses have been remodeled.

* Canalave City has new pathways and has been remodeled as well.

* Victory Road has a bigger entrance with a giant Pokéball in the center arch.

* Oreburgh Mine now has twin coal transporters starting from the entrance and ending at the entrance to the last section of the mine.

* There is an arch to show the entrance of Floaroma Town.

* Cycling Road has been redesigned with tunnel looking shelters in the middle of the Route.

* There has been a drastic climate change all over Sinnoh. Snow is all the way found south to Twinleaf Town. Warmer climates are found where the Battle Zone was.

* Sunyshore City has been remodeled.
