Sony je končno potrdil, kar so mnogi pričakovali že dlje časa. Vita TV prihaja tako v ZDA kot v Evropo to jesen. Cena za ZDA je postavljena na 99 dolarjev.

PS TV will be available this year in Europe and across the PAL region for €99 (RRP).

PS TV has a 6.5cm × 10.5cm ultra slim size – the smallest of any PlayStation platform that connects to a TV.

The main features of the PS TV system are as follows:

• PlayStation 4 remote play: As with PS Vita, PS TV supports PS4 remote play and Wireless Controller (DUALSHOCK 3 or DUALSHOCK 4). This will allow PS4 owners in the living room to continue playing a game on a PS TV system in their bedroom. You can also enjoy most of your PS4 games on PS TV as if you were playing it on your PS4 system*.
  
• PlayStation Now: Once PlayStation Now is rolled out across the PAL region, PS TV users will be able to comfortably enjoy PlayStation 3 games via streaming.
  
• A vast line-up of software titles: PS TV offers a huge library of PS Vita*, PSP and classic PS One titles. You’ll be able to enjoy all of these titles using a DUALSHOCK 3 or DUALSHOCK 4 controller.

Razne če imaš PS4 v dnevni sobi in ti kdo vedno teži da bi rad gledal TV. Potem rabiš še en TV in PS TV, pa lahko dalje igraš PS4 igre, gnjavator pa uživa v gledanju TV-ja. Win-win!

Sony je že ves čas po malem nanakazoval indie smer Vite, sedaj pa še potrditev od Shuhei Yoshide (aka Brohei Broshida ):

PS3 HD collection ports aside, the PlayStation Vita hasn’t been getting much first-party support from Sony lately, with the majority of their big games arriving in the system’s early months (Uncharted: Golden Abyss, Gravity Rush, WipEout 2048, LittleBigPlanet PS Vita, etc).

During a recent interview between Polygon and Shuhei Yoshida, the Sony Worldwide Studios head mentioned that the company is looking at indies, third-party developers, and Remote Play as the biggest focuses for the PlayStation Vita. When asked if he thinks this means the Vita would be getting fewer first-party games going forward, he replied:

"I would say, yes, that’s correct."

Yoshida then talked about how the indie boom was perfectly timed to provide the PS Vita with games:

"It’s very fortunate that the indie boom happened and they are providing lots of great content to Vita. Gameplay… game mechanic wise, people want to spend 10 minutes, 15 minutes getting in and out. On Vita, it’s great with suspended functionality, so these indie games [are] really great for that from a game design standpoint."

Instead of watching big stories or cinematics, you can spend hours on Vita. So, I think that’s actually the biggest star to help provide great content to Vita going forward. And we continue to make cross-platform games, especially on digital side.

Shuhei Yoshida said to expect fewer first-party games for Sony’s handheld, the PlayStation Vita.

While that might not be welcome news to Vita owners, it seems Yoshida is looking at the PS Vita as not just a gaming handheld, but also as a “companion device” to the PlayStation 4. Speaking to Game Informer at E3, Yoshida talked about how the handheld isn’t an independent gaming device as it once was, to which Yoshida replied:

"It’s still an independent platform you can play on. There are games for Vita, especially in Japan…However, more and more people use it as a companion device for PS4 and we are very happy that people are using it as such. We are bringing PlayStation Now to PS Vita. We are making it more of a total ecosystem, with PS4 as the central device."

Tako da ja, Vita je vedno bolj samo podaljšek (dodatek?) sobnih PS konzol in vedno manj samostojna platforma z AAA naslovi.

Kljub temu, da se spuščajo v to indie smer, vseeno ne bi smeli pokazati sredinca tistim, ki so kupili Vito kot samostojno napravo na kateri se pričakujejo tudi bolj udarni naslovi. Morali bi nadaljevati z logiko, ki so jo imeli ob splavitvi Vite.

Dvomim. Sigurno bodo še vedno 3rd party razvijalci izdelovali te večje naslove za Vito. Od 1st party pa tega ni za pričakovat. Samo še manjši naslovi.

Hja, se strinjam. Sploh to, da 1st party ne bo. Bo močno pogrešano, četudi bo ogromno 3rd party titlov.

No ja, meni je Vita še vseeno super in mi niti € ni žal zanjo. Bomo videli kaj bodo 3rd party kaj ponudli v prihodnosti, ali pa si bodo premislili in tudi oni počasi ukinili support.

Hvala za objavo seznama. Sam sem pa nasel kar nekaj iger, ki si jih zelim, pa so mi nekstere usle z spomina, pravtako sem pa tudi nasel nekaj novih! Je pa res, da se ne da zanikati, da je vecina iger "indie" z drugih platform. Je pa na seznamu kar nekaj vecjih exclusiv za ps vito, ki prihajajo z Japonske. Fucked si le (kot trenutno kaze) ce upas na first party exclusive aka moar killzone, infamous, god of war ali tipa tearaway, gravity rush itd.

Kar mi je všeč pri Viti TV je, da bodo Guerilla Games izdali še letos nov "krpalnik," ki bo omogočil igranje KZM na Vita TV. :-)

Tudi Vita bo še to jesen s posodobitvijo 3.30 dobila možnost izbire novih tem (do sedaj je bilo možno samo spreminjanje barv):

Dodatna novost bo “Live from PlayStation” app. Z njo bo možno gledati PS4 live streame preko Twitcha in USTREAMa.

Zraven bo priložen voucher za 3 download igre: Worms Revolution Extreme, Velocity Ultra in OlliOlli.

Vgrajenega je le 1GB spomina, ki je namenjen predvsem za save game datoteke, za igre pa ga bo hitro premalo.

Glavni sposobnosti PS TV-ja so streamanje PS4 iger in igranje PS Vita, PSP in PS One iger:

• PlayStation 4 – If you’re a PS4 owner, use PS4 Remote Play to stream PS4 games from your console to PS TV over your home network. If the living room is tied up, just use PS4 Remote Play to send your PS4 game to another HD TV in your home to continue playing.

Komaj čakam na igranje Killzone Mercenary na TVju z DS4 krmilnikom. Sicer pa mora za KZM najprej iziti patch kolikor vem. Kar je bilo rečeno o tem ko so objavljali da bo omogočeno igranje preko PS TV s patchom.
