here was no mention on Gaikai’s services in the conference, can you give us an update on when that will roll out?

Yeah sure and I’ll tell you why is wasn’t touched upon last night. So the plan is to begin with North America next year and the plan is to provide a streaming service that will allow for PS3 content initially to be streamed to firstly PS4 then PS Vita and then PS3.

And so that will happen in 2014 in North America initially. Now, and I touched upon these issues of broadband in Europe during the presentation – Europe is of course on the roadmap for that service to be deployed at some point in the future, but for reasons outside of our control we don’t yet have a timeline for it. So at a show which is now pretty global in its reach but primarily aimed at a European audience, we didn’t really want to start talking about the virtues of this great cloud-based service without knowing exactly when it’ll come to Europe.

We’ve got a roadmap, there’s just a few bumps along the road that need to be ironed out.

Sony to reveal PS4 Virtual Reality headset at TGS

Custom-built headset in the pipeline; Drive Club team already working with tech

Sony is preparing to reveal the final piece of its PS4 hardware strategy at TGS by showcasing a PlayStation-branded virtual reality head-mounted display, CVG has learned.

It originally intended to reveal the headset at Gamescom but plans fell through at the eleventh hour. The company is currently weighing up whether the PS4 device should be pitched as a key differentiator for the console or a non-essential add-on.

The matter has been slightly complicated, but not derailed, by the growing industry support for Oculus Rift. Sony's device will be a categorical rival to Oculus, and for months there have been rumours suggesting the two companies are seeking a partnership.

A games developer familiar with Sony's plans, who wished to remain anonymous, told CVG that Evolution Studios is currently working with the device to simulate a cockpit view on its PS4 title Drive Club.

Another developer claimed the virtual reality headset resembles the 3D headset that Sony first revealed in January 2011.

The head-mounted display will be available separately, like with the new PlayStation Eye, in order to keep the baseline PS4 price as low as possible.

In August, Sony Worldwide Studios boss Shuhei Yoshida suggested to CVG that R&D work on such devices was currently underway.

"Y'know, we're Sony, so we have lots of different things and different ideas in R&D," he said when asked if the corporation was building a VR headset.

"When it come to researching things, we are doing a lot of things that we can't talk about."

Sony intends to showcase over 50 PlayStation titles at the Tokyo Game Show.

That includes more than ten PS4 games such as Knack and Capcom's Deep Down, which was recently revealed

to be an online title.

V naslednjem letaku od Mullerja ni nič omenjen PS4, samo Xbox One na žalost.... Imam slabi občutek za 29.11. Upam da se motim.. Ja, če bo kdo hodil okrog Mullerja naj vpraša, mene tudi zanima.

Hja, glede na naval v Nemčiji in Avstriji, bi bilo povsem mogoče, da bi pri Mullerju zviseli.

Also, ne računat da se bo 29.11 šlo v Celovec/Beljak po konzolo, saj pri Mediamarktu ne vejo, če bo sploh kej konzol ostalo za day one. Vsaj tko mi je kontakt iz beljaške izpostave povedal - če bi dons prednaroču (prednaročila so samo še v poslovalnicah, preko neta ne več), mi ne garantira konzole v prvem tednu.

Mja, glede prednaročil slabo kaže. V Media Marktu v Seiersbergu imajo na veliko s tablami oglaševana prednaročila za Xbox One, o PS4 pa ne duha ne sluha.

MM je imel online vorbestellung v spletni štacuni takoj od konc maja naprej in zgleda so zafilal komplet kvoto. V začetku avgusta je preorder obrazec izginil s spletne strani (bil je na dnu posebne PS4 strani). Enako s X1, le da se tega še vedno da prednaročit tudi preko spleta.

Če je Sony HMZ-T3, ki ga mislijo predstaviti kot PS4 virtualna očala ala Oculus Rift, potem so pogoreli na celi črti... Vse se konča že s ceno: 1299€

taka cena ni sprejemljiva. mislim, da se tega zaveda tudi sony. počasi...

Glede na to, da Sony to svojo serijo špeglov razvija že x let, pa ni nobenega navdušenja nad njimi, naj kar lepo pogorijo, pa pustijo Oculus Riftu, da nadaljujejo s svojimi univerzalno hvaljenimi špegliči. Get da fak outta here, Sony.

Teli novi špegli ne bodo povezani s Sony HMZ-T3 - naj bi šlo za povsem nov koncept. Nazadnje bo pa Sony lepo pobasal OR pa bo hehehe

Če so Japonci prvi dobili PS3, bodo PS4 dobili zadni:

The PlayStation 4 is launching this November in the West. It won't be out in Japan until 2014. The console is launching in Japan on February 22, 2014.

The console is priced at 41,979 yen (with tax), which is $420. The PlayStation 4 bundled with the PlayStation Camera is 46,179 yen (with tax) or $460.

Sony has a special launch bundle for Japan called the PlayStation 4 First Limited Pack. Priced the same as the other consoles, it comes with Knack, free of charge.

According to Sony, the reason for the later launch is that Sony wants more time to have more "content" (games, probably) ready for the Japanese market at launch.

Sam imam že prednaročeno in poravnano Battlefield 4, Killzone Shadowfall, Watch_dogs, Need for Speed Rivals, DriveClub digitalno pa kupim še Blacklight Retribution. O 2014 pa raje se ne razmisljam ker bo ze zacetek "bolel" Infamous, Wolfenstein...
